Joann Koons Powdrill, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on April 18, 2026, at the age of 83. She is survived by her loving husband, James Powdrill; her daughter, Melisa Conrad and husband Jim Conrad; and her cherished granddaughter Read Obituary
Joann was a dear friend, beautiful lady and a free spirit (loved her pink and purple hair accents). The love shared between Joann and James was always evident in everything they did. We only knew them a few years via CCT, but came to love them none the less. We will keep both of them in our prayers. Our deepest sympathies go out to the family, she will be missed by all of us! I loved going to garage sales on Saturday mornings. Jo and Janice in the front and Melisa and me in the back. We always found treasures and had such fun together!
Joann enjoyed her life, and you could tell that just by looking at her. She recently had her hair dyed purple because it was her favorite color. She loved her husband so much. She wore a locket with his picture in it, and she would tell anyone, "I just love him so much!" Joann was a vibrant role model for blooming where you're planted. She defined success with her loving marriage and devotion to her family. It was my pleasure to have known her, so I could glimpse even a tiny part of such an extraordinary life.
We are so very sad to hear the passing of this beautiful lady! I met her in 2003 and she was so sweet and kind to me! She and I had a shared love for sunglasses! She always had the coolest glasses! We will always have her in our hearts. Praying for peace and comfort. Kim and David Starr
