I had the privileged of working with Joe Ann at North Texas Heart Center from 2006 to her retirement. She was an absolute sweetheart and so, so wonderful to be around. Her love for Dr. Pepper and bite-size Snickers bars became the official Front Desk treat after clinic. Joe Ann had such a fun, lively personality and such spunk. Her stories about her children growing up were always so funny and special to hear because they came from the heart. She also adored and took great pride in her grandchildren’s many accomplishment. Joe had wisdom for both life and relationship lessons which she shared to the young ladies in the office. Trust me when I say that she had no problem telling you if she “disliked” a fellow you were courting. Joe Anne had good, southern, classy values which she always wanted young ladies to acquire. She always made sure that young ladies she knew too pride in showing class and respect. Joe Anne was a woman of sheer class and intelligent, upscale breeding. She loved the finer things in life while enjoying the little things that brought her joy. She celebrated birthday’s and holiday with flare and always gave very generous gifts that held sentimental value. If she knew you liked a certain thing she would go out of her way to give you a special gift. She knew I loved Casa Linda cakes, so she would buy one every year for my birthday. To the Ward Family, we keep you in our thoughts and hearts during these difficult times. Please know that everyone who knew Joe Anne loved Joe Anne and we each hold a special place in our hearts to our fond memories of an amazing woman.
