Lannie and Wendy Ratliff purchased the Sweet Tenderness for the family of Joel Barry Bond.
Joel was so excited about his new ventures into fused glass and combining his glass work with his steel work. I truly enjoyed having him as one of my glass students. He always wanted to push the limits to see how an idea would work and what he could do with a technique. He was one of the kindest people I have ever known, and built a light box and a beautifully-created steel support table for a piece of my heavy glass equipment because I needed it. He was looking forward to creating a body of artwork and joining the Arts Incubator of Richardson artists in showing and selling his work. I will truly miss Joel.
