John Blaze's Obituary
John Marko Blazevich, Dec. 25, 1922 in Gary, IN to Nick and Anna Blazevich. Married to the love of his life Lorres Golden Blaze, now deceased, for 72 years. John was a Certified Executive Chef, a lifetime member of the American Culinary Federation, and American Academy of Chefs. He was a mentor to many in the culinary field. He served in WWII with the US Coast Guard in the Pacific. He is survived by his 3 children, Marsha Sechrist of Dallas, TX, Michael J. Blaze of South Bend, IN, and Robert R. Blaze of Ponchatoula, LA. Also survived by 5 grandchildren, 15 greatgrandchildren, and many friends. Family will receive friends on Monday, September 21, 2015 from 6:00PM – 8:00PM at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at 2:00 PM at First Methodist Church in Plano. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
