John was my roomie at UT and a groomsman at my wedding. We shared many good times. His beautiful wife, Janice (Sam) was the best thing to come into his life. Rest in peace, Roomie.

I went to high school with John, I was a couple of years younger. He was one of the really good guys. Any one that saw him play football remembers that he was like a cannonball coming out of the backfield. He was too short for the tall guys to grab. I'm so sorry for his family's loss.

I attended Jacksonville High School with John. I graduated a year before him. He was a real pleasure to know. He was a very talented football player and an active Boy Scout. He had a sense of humor. I want to express my condolences to each member of his family. Michael Rachel
