John Edward Jolly's Obituary
John Edward Jolly passed away on Monday, January 5th, 2015 after a courageous 9 year battle with cancer. John was born on August 11, 1945 in Jacksonville, Texas and played football and graduated from Jacksonville High School, home of the Fightin’ Indians, in 1963. Next, John played 1 year of football at the University of Texas Longhorns before injury forced him to give up the game he loved. He graduated from the University of Texas in 1967 with a degree in Business Administration and then became a CPA in 1968. John was passionate about his career as an accountant and in the financial industry. His first job was at Ernst and Ernst from 67 – 71, at Camsco from 71-78, US Tel from 78-85, US Funds Express from 85-87, Harvest Group from 87-90, Red Path from 90-96 and his career culminated as the CFO of All Components from 96-2008. John was an incredible man driven by integrity and hard work. John was passionate about lifting weights, gardening, the University of Texas, his family and career. He was a living example of putting others before himself. John always filled up the room with laughter and joy with his sarcastic & intelligent sense of humor. The world and all those that knew John are better because they knew him. John is survived by his wife of 44 years, Janice Jolly, daughter Jennifer Jolly Almholt and husband Thomas, son Jared Jolly and wife Pamela, his 6 grandchildren, Danielle, Cassandra, James, Jordan, Jacob and Erika; and his brother, Mike Jolly and wife, Suzanne. The memorial service will be held on January, 9th, 2015 at 11:00am in The Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas, TX. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75238 at Restland Road.
