John Scott Lee's Obituary
John Scott Lee of Richardson, Texas, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 24, 2022 after more than a year long battle with cancer. John was born in Downey, CA to the late Norris Edward and Gayle Fern Lee. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to all who knew him. He is survived by his wife Virginita “Ghie” Lee of Richardson, daughter Alyssa and husband Trent Jones of McKinney, and granddaughter Juliana Gayle Jones. John loved snorkeling and scuba diving, which brought him to many locations around the world including the Philippines, the Bahamas, Mexico, and various locations around the United States. He was particularly fond of visiting the Comal River in New Braunfels, TX where he and his family spent many vacations together. He was an avid science fiction fan and enjoyed watching movies. He was most proud of his recent foray into the world of writing when he became an author in August 2022. He felt that he was called by God to write his book, A God Thing: The Small-World Phenomena Spiritual Frequency. He departed this world feeling that he lived a fulfilled life. His family would like to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the medical staff of Texas Health Resources Dallas and Faith Presbyterian Hospice. Special thanks to Dr. Barve and the Texas Oncology team for their compassion and care during the last year of his life.
Reception will be at Trent and Alyssa’s house immediately after the funeral service 8620 Barnbougle Dunes Dr. McKinney, TX 75070.
