Johnnie Everette Smothermon's Obituary
Johnnie Everette Smothermon, 86, passed away on September 24, 2021 in Grand Prairie, Texas. He was the husband of Sandra Smothermon. They shared 41 years of marriage together.
Born in Denton County on November 15, 1934, he was the son of Lemuel E. “Molly” Smothermon and Annie Smothermon. He completed Frisco High School and began working with East Systems in Garland, Texas where he retired with 42 years of service. He attended Lockwood Baptist Church a good portion of his life and was a devout Christian.
He enjoyed sports, especially baseball, camping, wood-working, hunting with his best partner, Boss and spending precious time with family and in particular, grandkids and great-grandkids. He will be remembered for his disbursement of wisdom to his kids and grandkids, his dry sense of humor, no non-sense approach to life. We loved his direct honesty, genuine spirit and dependability.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Smothermon, kids, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
