Johnny was from a dry county in Mississippi, and on my first visit he took me to buy bootleg beer. We cruised down this deadend road in the country, slowed down in front of a house with quite a few coolers on the front porch. Someone approached our car and Johnny said "you got anything?" The guy said how many, and Johnny said six. We cruised down to the end of the road, turned around, slowed down by the house to get our sixer in a paper bag and hand over $6. A little pricey for 1978. I am from Gonzales, Louisiana where there was a bar on near every corner, so this was all new to me. We ended up in Natchez for live music in some bar. Shenanigans ensued, but we survived and made it back to his parents home in one piece. Love and miss my
dear friend Dr.Johnny❤️
