Joseph Leo Biegel's Obituary
BIEGEL, JOSEPH LEO 67, of Richardson, Texas, peacefully went to be with the Lord on March 12, 2011. He was born February 11, 1944 in San Pedro, CA. Joe grew up in the Marceline/ Brookfield, Missouri area and was very active in sports from a young age. He attended the University of Missouri and received a business degree in accounting. After graduation, he moved to Chicago, IL and transferred to Dallas, TX 1974, where he resided until his death. While in Dallas he held several executive management roles in various industries until his recent retirement. His favorite places to be were in the water or in the mountains. He found his greatest joy spending time with family. He was preceded in death by his father, Balthazar Joseph Biegel. He is survived by his daughter Michelle Benoist, her husband Jeff and two grandsons, Josh and Brandon, by his mother, Mary (Minich) Biegel of Brookfield, MO and by five sisters; Mary Sue Herron and husband Richard, Kansas City, MO, Kathy Keller and husband John, Manhattan, Kansas, Betty Giesen and husband Richard, Rockford, IL, Jane Haskell and husband Dan, Rolla, MO, and Leigh Ann Hechler and husband Steve, Leawood, Kansas. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his loving family members and many dear friends. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Richardson, Texas, with gravesite service following at Restland. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to St. Paul’s Catholic Church or The Dallas Amputee Network 1303 Green Meadow Drive, Richardson, TX 75081.
