Joseph L Cottrell was born on September 26, 1928 in Sherman, Texas and passed away on Monday, December 21, 2015 in Forney, Texas. Preceded in death by mother; Bertha Cottrell, father; Ben Cottrell, and sister; Marie Maggi. Survived by wife; Martha Cottrell, son; Rodney Cottrell and wife Laura, daughter; Linda Cole and husband Robert, also granddaughter; Stacy Vanderslice, grandson; Michael Lochridge and wife Stacy; granddaughter; Savannah Cottrell, grandson; Ryan Cottrell and great grandchildren, Chase, Elyse, Autumn, Abby, Lori, Austin, and Dallas. Also survived by niece, Kathy Maggie and nephew David Maggie. Real Estate Appraiser for over 50 years, past President of Dallas Chapter of Real Estate Appraisers. Masons Grand Lodge of Texas for 50 years, Masters Mason Shriners International. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 from 6:00- 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held on Thursday, December 24, 2015 at 10:00 AM at the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home.
