Joe was very important to me. He hired me to work at IRS after my Navy tour and seven years at the Environmental Protection Agency. After Joe brought me on at IRS he recommended I take some "Accounting" classes to learn the language of IRS. I started taking classes at El Centro and eight years and eighteen classes later I earned a degree in accounting from El Centro. Joe encouraged me all along the way in academics and valuation at IRS. On this very day he stands as one of the most influential and positive people in my life. So much of my happiness and fulfillment in life today is because of Joe T. Gilbert. Joe was a Christian and provided me a great example in my Christian walk.
