Joseph Robert Herrage's Obituary
Joseph Robert Herrage, 87, died peacefully Tuesday, August 9th 2022 in his Parker, Texas home. Mr. Herrage served in the military from 1954 to 1957, achieving the rank of Sergeant in the United States Marine Corp. Sergeant Herrage was a Marine Corp percussionist for various United States Marine Corp Fleet Bands and played for hundreds of thousands of spectators each year in drill ceremonies around the country and world.
Joseph “Sonny” Herrage is survived by the love of his life, Wally Jo, and his three wonderful children, Robert (Nanci), Christopher, and Lisa Herrage Tate (James). He is also survived by four grandchildren, Robby Herrage (Leah), Kyle Herrage, Matthew Tate, and Brysen Tate. Additionally, siblings, Joanne Bogucki (Tom), Betsy Williams (Dean), and Thomas Herrage (Connie). He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Rose Herrage as well as his siblings, Shirley Muron, Rosa Lee Gromvosky (Richard), Joyce Kriso (David), and Mary Jane Mayvald (Lou).
Aside from his family, Joe’s greatest devotion was to the military and his beloved Dallas Cowboys.
Restland Funeral home will host visitation for Joseph on Sunday, August 21, 2022 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Graveside service will be held on Monday, August 22, 2022 at 11:30 am.
