In 2005, I was a brand spanking new US DOT/NHTSA/OFI Special Agent working Title, Securities and odometer fraud investigations. I had a case in Dallas, Texas with 47 boxes of discovery and a two week trial scheduled in Dallas. Thank God I was assigned Joe as the prosecuting attorney. After being an INS Agent in NYC and a FDA/OCI agent in Kansas a city, I was a little nervous to say the least; however, Joe put me at ease when we prepared for trial and I will never forget his kind and gentle demeanor. We had diligently prepared for our trial and the defendant plead out two days before the trail was to start. I will never forget the joy, friendship and fellowship that I had with Joe. When we prepared and went to lunch he always had a smile on his face and something nice to say. I am so thankful I was able to talk with Joe and Vivian not long before he passed. RIP in the arms of Jesus my dear friend and I look forward to our reunification in heaven with Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. God bless & God Speed.
