To JW's family. I am Butch Cantey. I am Nora Mae Miles Cantey's son. My grandfather WT Miles was Uncle Wesley's brother. Frances passed on to the family that JW had passed away. My mother passed away a few years ago at the grand age of 98. She was the youngest and the last surviving child of WT Miles. Just wanted to pass on our condolences to you all and tell you that my mother spoke fondly of Woodrow, JW, Frances, and Margie often as I was growing up. I remember Aunt Anna as a dear lady. Godspeed to you all!

My grandfather taught me how to ride a bicycle, how to use a baseball glove,and how to change the oil in my first car. He taught me the importance of looking past a person's flaws, so I might find the goodness that exists in us all. He taught me to sacrifice for the sake of others. He taught me to honor my word–always. And while I will miss sharing the occasional apple fritter with him as well as our weekly critics of our favorite football team; I will never be without him, for he is a critical part of the man I have become. I am the product of his craftsmanship. The impression the artist leaves on his work is eternal.
