I met Joy in January 2024. She was a small woman with a huge personality in all the best ways. Joy was a storyteller. I enjoyed hearing about her travels in her childhood, as well as in her mature years. I wish I could have seen her dance as a Georgette, but when she shared her experiences, it was as if I were there. She was a warm, laughing, and open person who did not suffer fools. Her love for her family, dog JoJo, and her affection for Trump were defining factors in who she was. I feel honored to have known her and wish Debi and Flint strength and healing.
