DALLAS, TX- Darr, Joyce Nell, 67, was born to parents Curtis Darr and Mildred Alexander on July 21, 1950 in Dallas, Texas. She passed away on March 17, 2018 in Dallas, Texas.Joyce began a 35 year career with Southwestern Bell/AT&T after graduating from Sunset High School in 1968. She was a lifelong member of Cockrell Hill Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years and sang in the choir; she was also a member of the Oak Cliff Boomers, Telephone Pioneers and Women’s Business Association.She was preceded in death by her parents Curtis Weldon Darr and Mildred Irene Darr.Joyce is survived by her sister Judy Parker and husband C.A. Parker of Mesquite, Texas; her brother Charles Darr and wife Linda Darr of Paulsbo, Washington; Nieces, Lisa Paul and husband Greg of Heath, Texas; Jana Davis and husband Elliott of Sunnyvale, Texas; Jana Darr of Arlington, Texas; Nephews, Greg Darr of Grapevine, Texas; Matt Darr of Florida along with great nieces and nephews Ashtyn Davis; Gracyn Davis; Lauren Darr; Kendall Darr; Alex Darr.Joyce was an avid baker and received a first place prize winner at the State Fair of Texas.The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Restland Funeral Home from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, March 21, 2018. A funeral service for Ms. Darr will be held at 12:30pm on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at the Wildwood Chapel, Restland Funeral Home, Dallas, Texas. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who knew and loved her.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
