Joyce Faye Evans' Obituary
Heaven received an angel on August 3, 2023. Joyce Faye Evans joined her husband Cleo Evans and will be laid to rest beside him. Joyce was preceded in death by her sisters Wilma Blair, May Almon, and Laverne Reeves and her brothers Dick Brintle and Pete Brintle.
She was a long-time member of Fundamental Baptist Church in Palmer, Texas, born to Linnie May Lowry and Washington Odell Brintle on February 19, 1935. She was 88 years old. Her surviving children: Cheryl Lancaster, Brenda Harris, Robert Lancaster, and his spouse Alicia Lancaster. Grandchildren: John Harris and spouse Hailey Harris, Jesse Lancaster, and spouse Amanda (Mandee) Harris, and Jason Lancaster, and spouse Amber Lancaster. Great grandchildren: Mason Harris, Damian Harris and spouse, Kailee Harris, Colon Harris, Logan Harris, and Beckham Lancaster. Great-great grandchildren: Landry Harris, Tate Harris, and Kennedi Harris, all who are missing her dearly.
Dainty Joyce to her nieces and nephews, Mee-maw to all her grandchildren, and our sweet mother was a caring and sharing person that had received and served Christ as her Savior and was a great example of His love, humility, charity, and compassion for others. It was through her example that others were also led to our Lord and Savior.
Though we are sad and miss her dearly we are comforted by the knowledge of the promise God has given to all of us that accept his gracious gift of salvation of meeting together in our Father’s house where there are no more tears. It is not goodbye, but until we meet again.
‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
