I have many fond memories of Judy. From her giving me "Reiley" a sweet dog; to sharing bean brownies and eating some very strange colored foods. But the most memorable incident was: One day at work while we were charting, Judy started cursing away about a water bottle from Good Sam's Club (SMART WATER) was the brand name on the bottle. Anyway, she was saying the bottle was defected and she couldn't get any water out of the full bottle. I finally asked to help/see the bottle cause she was extremely frustrated over it not working. The bottle cap was a pop up one and it was still in closed position. I popped it up and told her to try it . And low and behold, water came out. I went back to charting but couldn't help myself saying, " You obsessively need to be drinking more SMART WATER"….. to which Judy squirted water out of the bottle and onto me. We both laughed so hard. I will miss you my friend. Paula Cowan- Hirschberg, RN.
Judy was my dear friend and neighbor when she lived in Bowie, MD., a wonderful person and I missed her when she move to Texas, which is where we moved from when we moved to Maryland. Carmie Peavler
I will always hold Judy Barta (That's how she always said her name) near and dear to my heart. When I started working at Timberlawn 10 years ago, she was the main one that made me feel so welcome. After retiring, working a day here and there, she would only work with me. We were an awesome team and had so much fun! She turned me on to organic foods (not sure about the refried beans brownies Ha!), homeopathic meds, got me an icechest on wheels like hers, stood and held me through another dear friend passing. There's so much more, but she knows that. You kids and grandkids are in my prayers. I'll always love you Judy Barta
