I am so grateful that I had the joy of knowing Julia. She was such a wonderful roommate and true friend. I am 60 and find myself reviewing my life now. Some of my happiest memories are of time with Julia – especially in our dorm room in Russell Hall or in our apartment in the Quadrangle. Julia was a kind, thoughtful roommate. I loved her and feel grief stricken thinking that she had suffering at the end of her life. My life is richer for having known Julia. I found some pictures of us at 20 and will post them soon. To the Brady Family: I just wanted to say I am thinking of you during these days. You may not remember me now, but: I have known Julia since our days at Woodrow. We spent a great deal of time together from about 2003 to 2007, while she still lived on Anita. She was always a faithful and helpful friend, and I still remember the great conversations we had. I was always really comfortable talking with her, and we shared a love of horses. I'm an amateur jumping competitor, partly based on her inspiration. I have a wonderful horse that she never got to see. I have not spoken with Julia in the last year or so, but I thought of her very often during this battle with the illness. I know her courage and determination served her well during this time, as well as the many friendships which she had and maintained.
