Julie R. Cason Bates, 34, of Garland, Texas passed away Thursday January 7, 2010 in her home after a courageous 6-year battle with breast cancer. Born March 4, 1975 Dallas, Texas. Julie attended Berkner High School in Richardson, Texas where she fondly participated in the mighty Ram Band music program playing Flute and Piccolo. It was Julie’s wish that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to either the family (for medical expenses or the children’s trust funds) or any of the many reputable Cancer Research Facilities such as St. Jude’s, etc. She also did not want to have a traditional church service. A reception to celebrate Julie’s life will be Saturday, January 30, 2010 from 2:00 – 5:00 PM at Northplace Church, 2709 3rd Street, Sachse, Texas, 75048, 972-495-1116, www.northplacechurch.com.
