Kathleen Bone's Obituary
Born in Brownwood, Texas on January 1st, Kathleen Bone was the first baby born in Brown County, Texas in 1945. She spent her formative years in Oak Cliff and during her high school years served as a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader from 1961-1963 (called “The Cowbells” during those years.) She was an excellent student, earning the honor of Salutatorian of her graduating class at Kimball High School. Kathy earned her Bachelors degree from Stephen F. Austin State University, obtained her teaching certificate, and taught in the Dallas Independent School District. She also worked for many years for the Dallas Public Library. Kathy’s greatest gift to the world is her endless, abundant love. She had a unique life of spiritual exploration, and was extremely ethical, honest and altruistic. Kathy passed away after a short but brave battle with cancer. The sadness felt by this loss is outweighed by the rich legacy of love and light she leaves behind for us all. Kathy is survived by her son George, son-in-law Joe, her three cherished grandchildren Emily, Brian and Alan, and her sister Sylvia. She is preceded in death by her parents Lucien Sr. and Jim, and her brother, Lucien Jr. Kathy’s life celebration will be at Noon on Saturday, Feb 22 at Midway Hills Christian Church 11001 Midway Rd Dallas TX 75229.
