Kathleen Ann Boswell's Obituary
Kathleen Ann Boswell, age 86, passed away peacefully June 24, 2022 due to dementia. She was born at home in Marthaville, Louisiana on August 7, 1935. She met and married her soulmate, James Fred Boswell, who preceded her in death after 50 years of marriage.
Kathleen was a dedicated and amazing mother first and foremost. She loved to love on people and never met a stranger. She was always available any time of the day or night to offer words of encouragement, wisdom and comfort to anyone who needed it. She was a master cook and every holiday, birthday or special event was filled with enough food to feed an army and everyone’s favorite dishes would be made. Kathleen worked tirelessly at Education Service Center Region 10 for 45 years. Everyone knew she rarely slept and you could find her at work most anytime. After her retirement, Region 10 developed a scholarship in her name to help others continue their education. She was a living example of a servant’s heart and was kind and compassionate to every person she ever met.
Kathleen is survived by her son John Boswell and his wife Chris, daughter Elizabeth Roberts and her husband Larry, brothers Irby Gamble and his wife Judy and Henry Gamble and his wife Cheryl. She was a grandmother to Rachel Arrivillaga and her husband Donovan, Michael McMillan and his wife Megan, Michael Roberts and his wife Victoria, Peyton Roberts, Taylor Roberts, Robert Ingle, Jodell Cox, Nichole Burkhardt and her husband Branden and Tony Johnson and his wife Karla. She was a great grandmother to Madelynn Arrivillaga, Abigail and Michael McMillan, Riley and Becca Cox, Jordyn, Reagan and Madison Burkhardt, Holly, Kaelee, Samantha and Jacob Johnson, and Brayden and Emma Roberts. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, James Fred Boswell, brother’s Circe Gamble, Nolan Gamble and her sister Carolyn Lee as well as her parents Henry and Rommeiss Gamble. Last but not least, she was loved and survived by her little dog Bullet.
The family would like to thank her caregivers Karen and Leon Coble, Janet Moore, Betty Arie, Kaci Musick, Brittany Miller and all the other amazing people from Home Instead Senior Care and Hospice Plus.
