My husband Jim and I became friends with Kathy through our jobs with the government. There are special people who, when you first meet them, make you feel instantly comfortable. Kathy was one of those special people. She made friends effortlessly and then kept those friends for a lifetime. She laughed easily, had a great sense of humor, and was such fun to be around that everyone tended to gather at her desk to try and grab some of her bright spirit just to get us through the workday. Her greatest joy in life, though, was her son Michael, whom she adored. When Michael was born, I saw her transform into the beautiful mother that she remained for the rest of her life. I know how proud she is of her greatest achievement, Michael, her loving and devoted son.
We are so lucky to have counted Kathy as a good friend, and I know there is a big celebration for her arrival Home, with family and friends waiting with open arms and lots of laughter. We'll see you on the Flipside, Kathleen.
I love you,
Janelle Crenshaw
