My husband and I lived across the street from Boyd and Katy for 13 years. I will miss Katy. She was so friendly to us. We would bring cookies and banana and or zucchini bread. She made is feel like family. Miss you Katy.

Our hearts goes out to Boyd and family.
Katy was my friend and co worker. I agree with others about her being a great cook. She loved Boyd and her family and they were her life.We had so many good times together. I have such good memories. I love you Katy Lynn.

I first met Katy when I moved to Dallas in 82 and began doing business with husband Boyd. Katy was a wonderful hostess entertaining Boyd’s clients, often at their ranch in Avery. We got to be pretty good friends and she shared stories of their rural upbringing before putting “everything we owned” in a car heading to Dallas. They lived the American dream working hard, through thick and thin. Boyd was a renowned story teller and she would sit there with a smile on her face, hearing a yarn for the twentieth time. Katy was an amazing lady, bringing up a family with a husband that was on the road weekly. She was a great cook and fed the multitude Boyd would host. She possessed a winning smile, and angelic spirit. With Katy at his side Boyd built a successful business and she supported him every step of the way. God gained an Angel on September 2 nd… Sad to hear of her passing but she now has achieved immortality and in a better place. Prayers of condolences going out to Boyd, daughter Sharon, and son Donald.
Joining you in remembering our sweet Katy. She was such a loving, beautiful, fun “great Aunt” who always me feel so adored. She will be greatly missed- she already is. I’m praying for you all as you find your new normal in life, as I know it will have its challenges. Much love, Kelli
Katy was the best Mother-in-Law anyone could ever hope for. She was friendly, fun, laughed a lot and was always there for me and our family. You were the best Nana and you will be missed greatly. Until we meet again. We love you. Michele
