The hard charging never stopping Kent Paluga, I am glad i was always on the same side of Law as Kent. Many times i asked Kent for advice on an Accident. He never shied away from giving his advice. I trusted his advice because it came through experience. Kent dotted every I and crossed every T. He was our Corporal in McKinney and a Good Corporal he was. He was an Honorable hard working Troop. I was proud to know Kent. Joseph R. Fedor. Retired Sr Trooper McKinney
When I was assigned to McKinney out of the academy in 1983, the Depaartment didn't have an FTO program. Sgt. Bob Taylor put me with Kent for a month to learn a little about Collin County. I probably learned more in that month than I did in the 4 1/2 month academy. I already had six years experience but Kent taught me how to be a Trooper. Kind, thoughtful, meticulous, understanding, fair….all words that come to mind when describing Kent. Good man. He will be missed. Johnny Williams, Sr. Trooper, THP, ret.
2 Timothy 4:7 Paul says, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." These words are true of Kent Paluga. He will be remembered and missed by everyone who knew him. David Ross, DPS Retired, Bonham,TX

The staff at the Holiday Inn Austin Midtown would like to send our condolences to the Paluga family. We had been his home away from home while in Austin for the DPS Analyst training. He was an awesome man and we are greatful to have had the pleasure of meeting him. Prayers from all of us to the family. R.I.P. Theresa Campos & the Staff at Holiday Inn Austin Midtown
Kent was a dear friend and co-worker. He will be greatly missed. Rest in peace my dear friend.
He sure was a funny man. He teased my daughter like he did his own grandchildren. She even called him Uncle Kent. God's timing was punctual. He did come like a thief in the night. None of us were ready for this. However, there was no coincidence that he was taken on the same day as our Lord's, Good Friday. He was a man of faith and for that reason, he is up in Heaven and free from the things that plague the human body. My prayers will continue to be with his family and friends during this difficult time.
