Kent Paluga's Obituary
Kent Paluga was born in Kansas City, Missouri on May 2, 1953. He married Linda in 1974 and had four daughters. After coming to Texas he entered the Department of Public Safety Academy in 1975. Where he was a state trooper until he retired in 2003 and went back to work for the state. Kent worked for the state for 40 years and dedicated his life to the pursuit of justice. His children and grandchildren meant the world to him. Known as grandpa and pops he teased and played with the grandkids which made him happiest. Kent is preceded in death by Ashley Paluga (daughter), Mary Elizabeth Paluga (Mom), John Joseph Paluga (dad). Kent is survived by daughters, Andrea Paluga, Magan Paluga-Watz, and Kendra Taliaferro; grandchildren, Mayson, Zhane, Jackson, Sage, Brooklyn, Maybrie, Major, Saylor, Hendrix; siblings, Jack Paluga, Jeff Paluga, Chad Paluga, Robin Dressler, Jan Conrod, Sally Harper, Alice Mason; and ex wife, Linda Paluga. Family will receive friends on Thursday, April 9, 2015 from 6-8 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held on Friday, April 10, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. Gabriels Church. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to DPSOA (Department of Public Safety Officers Association). Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
