LaBarbara was a wonderful person and friend. As a close cousin by marriage, we were always at my mother’s family reunion each year, until they dwindled down to just being occasional and they finally stopped altogether. During the time that we did have the reunions, there were lots of people that gathered, many of whom neither of us knew, so we always searched each other out and spent those long hours entertaining each other. She could keep me in laughing with her great sense of humor and easy going personality. Later, when I lived in Waxahachie, we got more opportunities to see each other, then life got in the way and I moved to Tennessee. I already miss her…She had a great smile you could hear in her voice!
