Ah memories! I was probably the best friend of "Latham" (called then, later "Lee") in St Mark's High School, Class of 1950. I have two vivid memories with Latham. First, riding in the back of his vintaged Nash (car) and smooching with my date in the back seat. It had a scandalous front passenger seat that reclined to make a bed. We never used it. Next memory: Since his single parent was not rich, Latham threw a Dallas Morning News route. One time when I (a border at St Marks) spent the night at Latham's house … before daybreak I joined him when he threw the papers in a very heavy snow. Normally, I called him every year on, or about, his birthday. I lost track of him in 2015 and later found out from classmate. Halton Henderson, of the death. I am not sure why, but we called him "Loose Clutch."
