Lavinia was the perfect example of a Disciple. She lived and shared her faith with her whole heart. Lavinia greeted me with the biggest smile of friendship and acceptance — no matter how much time had passed since my last attendance. I am so sorry I didn't hear about her passing until today. However, I know she's having a glorious time in Heaven.
I love you very much Aunt Lavinia and prefer to remember how happy you were 2 years ago at the family reunion. I will see you, Dad, Mom, and all the others on the other side. Love – Charlotte
Aunt Beanie was such a blessing to all that new her. Such a wonderful spirit – nothing pleased me more than to be able to see her each year at the family reunion. I'll always remember her beautiful long hair she use to brush and it was so fun to watch her pull that up into a bun – God rest her soul –
Bob and I began teaching with Jim and Lavinia in Pampa,Texas in 1955. Although we went separate ways, we maintained our friendship through the years. Beenie was a dear sister and precious friend. We shared the same birthday. We are saddened and will miss her very much, but we know we will see her again–that's our "blessed assurance"!
Lavinia was a very important person in my life. I'm a soprano and voice teacher at San Francisco State University. I wouldn't be a singer or teacher without having had her as a teacher for three years. I hope I am passing on her legacy. She was just such a funny, elegant, talented human being. Unforgettable!
