I was sad to hear the news of Kimbal's passing. Kimbal was a trusted attorney that helped our real estate company with many matters. I recently retired after 40 + years in the commercial real estate business in Dallas. I worked with many attorneys over the years and Kimbal could always be counted on to take reasonable and fair approaches in documenting agreements or just advise/counsel. My thoughts and prayers are with his family as they mourn his sudden passing.

Although I didn’t have the opportunity to know Lawrence personally, I do have the privilege of knowing his son, David. From every interaction with David, it’s easy to imagine how proud Lawrence must have been of their son and family—there’s a certain gleam that comes from that kind of pride, and it’s truly all a father could wish for. My heartfelt thoughts and condolences are with David and their entire family as they navigate this difficult time.

As Kimbal’s legal assistant for 22 years!!! I spent almost everyday with him. He was my boss, my mentor and my friend. My kids loved him. I admired his intelligence, hard work, and kindness. But most of all he never said negative things about anyone even if he was upset. On May 1st…I left the office and told him to have a beautiful weekend…. He replied back in a sweet way. As I left I told myself “that was different and sweet” and that will be one of the best memories I will always cherish ❤️
