Lee Ida Wacker's Obituary
Lee Ida Wacker was born May 30, 1921 to Lillie and Charlie Pinkston. She attended school in Big Spring, Texas and Texas Tech in Lubbock. While employed in Midland, Texas, she met and married John Wacker. The couple lived in Tennessee for three years then moved to Dallas. Her primary interests were her family and friends. In addition she enjoyed traveling, art, bridge and square dancing with the Swingin’ Saints Square Dance Club. She and her husband established the Wacker Foundation which funded and published research targeting biological disordered behavior. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years and their daughter, Lisa. She is survived by one daughter, Lauren Everett; sister, Charlene Pinkston; sister-in-law, Charlotte Kolls; niece, Keri Eastman; nephews, Randy and Kyle Kolls; step grandsons, Sean and Kyle Everett. A private graveside service will be held at Restland in Dallas. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Lovers Lane United Methodist Church, 9200 Inwood Road, Dallas, 75220, Gladney Center for Adoption, 6300 John Ryan Drive, Fort Worth, 76132, or the charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
