I've said it before and will say it again, Lester was the sweetest, most gentle spirited man I have ever met. He always had a big hug and smile for Bethany and I. I never saw him even slightly agitated at anyone. He was a dedicated and loving husband and dad. You could just "feel" the love he had for his wife and daughters. He passed on that love, kindness and gentle spirits to his daughters. The world was a better place with Lester in it, but now he is home with our loving Father and his precious wife. I am blessed to have known Lester and even more blessed to be good friends with Leslie who continues the legacy of his warm heart, gentle spirit and love. Lester is seen daily in the same love and gentle spirit he passed down to both daughters. Lester will be missed , but he did life right and so many are blessed by knowing him. Les McKee is a man who was so easy to love. He exhibited the love of the Lord at all times. I met he and Nancy when I first joined Lakeside Baptist Church in 1973 and he and Nancy were directors of the Single Adult Department. The obituary describes him just the way he was, "Kind and Gentle!" I visited with him not very many months ago and although in failing health, he was still the same sweet man he had always been. Love and God's blessings to Leslie, Libby and your families as you go through the grieving process.
