I just received word of Al’s passing and am greatly saddened. As one of my high school basketball teammates, I have nothing but fond memories of our days at Adamson. I was not alone in my affection as Al was loved by everyone. He had a unique personality that endeared him to all of us. There was no teammate that I enjoyed or loved more than Al.
Dear Williams Family: Joyce and I are so greatly saddened by Al’s recent passing. Al is one of those rare individuals who was genuine in his kindness, great sense of humor and ability to be loved and respected by everyone he came in contact with. I had the privilege of knowing Al since 1989 when we became work colleagues at Hudson RCI in Temecula, CA. Al was wonderful to work with, leading by example, honest & ethical and exceptionally hard working. He always was upbeat and had a kind word for everyone. Most of all, I considered Al to be a trusted and valued friend. It goes without saying that Al will be missed by all of us. We were incredibly saddened to hear the news about Al and send our deepest, heartfelt sympathy during this very difficult time.Approximately 24 years ago, we had the pleasure and honor of meeting Al and family at PALS Preschool in Temecula, CA, where lifelong friendships were formed. Al’s friendly, warm demeanor was evident from the beginning and made him easy to be around. He was so patient and kind. Rarely would you see Al without a smile on his face. His stories were fun and he was especially animated when we’d talk about sports. Learning something knew from Al was common and we always appreciated our conversations with him. He was such a wonderful husband, dad, grandpa, and friend. We are going to miss him dearly and will treasure the many special memories we have of him. Sandy and family, I’m so very sorry to hear about the loss of your dear husband. I remember vividly the day we met 27+ years ago for the first time, the four of us as newcomers to Temecula, all from Texas, in the sporting goods (?) aisle at Walmart, and again over the years here. My heart goes out to you Sandy. I know full well the pain. I’ll look forward to seeing you when you return to Temecula. Tight hugs to you.

Al was a remarkable person and enjoyed working with him while he and Sandy lived in Temecula. Al always had a story to tell me and often spoke of family, he was simply beaming with joy when he became a grandfather.
To say the least, Al was a good man and knowing him was my pleasure.
Al simply made me a better person.
We were so sorry to get the news about Al.Al was a true gentleman and always a pleasure to be around. His dry sense of humor and laid back demeanor was unique to Al.It seems like just yesterday when Wes and I met Al and Greg at McDonalds in Richardson. Those Saturday morning meetings bloomed into a great friendship.Sandy, Greg and Eric we are thinking about you guys.
We are so sad to hear of Al’s passing. It was great attending the TVHS basketball games and the NJB games with Al and Sandy back in the 90’s. We also enjoyed the frequent social get-to-gathers in the years following the kids being in high school. Al will be missed by us, and we wish all the best for the rest of his family and extended family.
