Your Daughter, Debbie
Mom, I will miss all the good times we had together, the cruises, family vacations, holidays, lunches and dinners to name a few. I will miss travelling with you (you were a great traveler and never complained), going on adventures (you weren’t afraid to do anything, from riding a motorcycle or skateboard to rafting down a river in Belize at age 78), sharing Bloody Marys on the plane, betting on the Kentucky Derby (even though it was only $1—you always managed to pick the winning horse), the Easter Egg hunts in the courtyard with your great grandchildren, having you spend the night with me on Thanksgiving eve and watching the parades and dog show the next day, spending the night on Christmas Eve at Brian’s and seeing what Santa brought everyone the next morning. You were smart, kind and generous, never met a stranger and were goofy in a fun way. I love the way you told jokes and when you forgot the punch line, you would just make something up. You taught me so much about life and how to be happy every day. I will miss hearing your voice and saying “I Love You” at the end of every phone call. Thank you for being my Mom–I will miss you every day.
