Linda was my Sunday School teacher back in the early and mid 80’s. And what a good one she was. I remember more than once, the 45 minute class ended too early. She was so gracious too. I am sorry to hear about her passing.
Linda has been gracious, kind and willing to help. She opened her home to my husband and I, even though she barely knew us at the time. She offered peace and a safe harbor to my Mom whenever she needed it. She listened, and treated my sons with respect — something they both remember fondly.
Linda let her light shine, so others would see Jesus.
Dr. Linda Garrett was the epitome of grace, dignity, and steel. I learned so much from watching her in action and will remain forever grateful for her presence in my life, both personally and professionally.
Linda was especially loved in our family. She always had a big smile on her face. I loved talking books with her, and I always strived to make her happy as I followed in her footsteps as a librarian.
