Lloyd Campbell's Obituary
Lloyd Anthony Campbell passed away peacefully in Llano, Texas on November 24, 2024. Lloyd was born on November 26, 1948, in Tyler, Texas to Joseph Eugene Campbell and Josie Powell Campbell. He spent the majority of his life in Dallas and was proud that he lived his entire life in Texas. He attended Martha Turner Reily and Bayles Elementary Schools, W.H Gaston Junior High, Bryan Adams High School, Sul Ross University, East Texas University and Eastfield Community College. He worked for The Dallas Museum of Natural History and various engineering and surveying firms throughout his career as a civil engineer and CAD designer.
He was a founding father of Beta Gamma Chapter of Alpha Kappa Lambda Fraternity; an organizer of Earth Day 1970; supporter of KERA channel 13, National Geographic Society and the Salvation Army.
Lloyd was a proud Texan. He encouraged interest in Texas history, natural history, genealogy, Scottish heritage and science.
Lloyd is survived by his daughter, Vanessa Campbell Staples (Brady), his granddaughters Ava Rose and Paige Tyler, his brother Glenn Dennis Campbell (Christine).
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Jo Campbell and his grandson, Brett Hunter Staples.
A graveside service will be held on November 29th at 3pm at Restland Cemetery in Dallas, Texas
