Coach Pate at H Grady Spruce High School was one of a kind Coach. He took a bunch of young boys and made men out them. The lessons we learned are life long. Anyone that played under Coach will never forget the faintheart drill he invented and if you did he would certainly remind you. A great man. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. RIP Coach Pate.

Lloyd was genuine, authentic and one of a kind. Playing golf with him at the TPC was a fun experience for all 18 holes with lots of laughs.
Mr. Pate you trusted in my abilities when few others did. Thanks for the opportunity, it made me stronger in my days after Coca-Cola. RIP in Sir, you’ve certainly earned it!
The world is not quite as bright with the passing of Coach Pate, but I am rejoicing that he and Margaret are once again together. I lost my own father (Bob Lock) several months ago and knowing he and my mom were together was something that brought me great comfort. Coach Pate was one of a kind.
