My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time. Lu was a very special woman, and my life is richer for knowing her. Over the years I watched the way she came alongside others, volunteered her time, and lived her life to the fullest! I always said that when I "grow up" I want to be just like Lu! What a blessing she has been to many people.
Bernita, and the entire family: I was the nurse practitioner who worked with Dr. Cruz, and saw your mother monthly at the Sterling House. Despite my being there to see her, your mother would always ask how I was! She was an absolutely wonderful woman who cared so much for everyone…even her caregivers! I so enjoyed spending time with her, and talking about your family and mine. I feel like I know you all intimately even though, unfortunately, I've never met you. Ms. Lu had a rare gift of caring and concern, and I will miss her deeply each time I go to the building. Thank you for sharing your mother with me! Take comfort in the fact that she was not afraid to meet her maker, and she will be welcomed with open arms into the Kingdom of God! My deepest condolences, Pam Hutcheson
Bernita: I am Claire Erdman's daughter and wanted to say how we will all miss your mother's presence here on earth. Because she invited my son to Benttree Bible Fellowship many years ago, I was then invited by him and went there for many years as well.
