My brother , what can I say. He made me strong, he was my hero growing up,,we fought alot, he said it would make me tough. no body wanted to be a sissey back in the day..taught me to play football baseball,,when he started dating,, I would shine his shoes, and on and on.. I loved him deerly, and always wanted to make him proud,,finally did when I got my own store at 29 yrs.I'm gonna miss all his advise and caring,, it feels like your in the twilite zone since this has happen , a shock for all of us,,but he went the best way, I hope I am as lucky when its my time…my sister in law I could leave off the law part..shes the best, Eric, Ashley the greatest a aunt could ever have,, love to all, and I will always be hear for you all,,
I only knew Coach for about two and a half months, but I am definitely blessed to have known him for even that long. When I started working at All Star in the beginning of the summer, he was definitely the person who made me feel the most comfortable about being the "new girl". I was always excited to see which baseball cap he would walk in wearing each day, especially when he wore his Ursuline cap (I tried to talk him into wearing it everyday). I had promised him I would get him a brand new Ursuline cap once I started school, and I will definitely keep my promise. My thoughts and prayers are with his entire family. You all are so lucky to have had him in your lives, as he will be missed and remembered by many.
Sharon, Eric, Julie, Emily, E.J., Jillian and Ashley, and Mom, My heart aches for each of you. I am hurting and mourning with you. Uncle Joel was my favorite Uncle. He was always full of advice, support and encouragement. He also had his quirky ways that we all had to love…:) My children all loved him and enjoyed seeing him every year at the reunion. His being missed is an understatement. There are no words… We love you all very much and pray for God to wrap you all in his arms to hold you, give you strength and love you during this very difficult time. Love and prayers to all!! Gina, Anthony, Morgan, Mason, Madison, and Antonia.
Sharon, Eric, Julie, Ashley – My heart goes out to you all and I can only imagine as my mother says that Joel is already plotting his "dream team" for baseball, football, and track up in heaven. I hope to be on it one day and expect we will have a good laugh when my mom shouts from miles away.
I was 14 when I met Coach Ezar, I am now about to turn 55 and can honestly say only a handful of people impacted my life the way that he did. I was actually just thinking of him yesterday wondering how he was and that I need to make contact, I hadn't seen him in almost 20 years, I regret my efforts, I'm truley sad for your loss.
Please accept my deepest sympathy in the loss of Joel. Not only did I attend West Jr. High School with him, but graduated from Waco High School in 1960 with Joel. It is always so sad to lose a fellow classmate. May your precious memories and the knowledge of the many lives he touched so positively be of comfort to you.
Sharon, Ashley, Eric and extended family members ~~ This is such a loss not only for your family but the many people who have been touched by Joel throughout his life. Our family has so many wonderful memories of Joel which are too numerous to mention. We were so fortunate to have know him in so many roles, i.e. coach, father, husband, neighbor and defintely at times a substitute father to my boys. I'm sure he's already organizing a "team" up there! The world has lost a true character with lots of spunk and we will miss him!!! My deepest sympathy………Karen
I think Coach Ezar was loved by everyone he came in contact with, especially at Skyline. He was a friend to everyone on campus and would give a helping hand to anyone in need.I always enjoyed talking to Ezar whenever I got the chance because of his wonderful sense of humor and friendly attitude, he was always smiling. After a brief visit with Coach I left with a better day because of his humor.Coach Ezar will be missed by everyone because he was a friend to everyone. Sincerely; Sonny Walter Skyline Faculty
