Lynda Ruth Nicholas, 81, died August 11, 2024, in Taos, NM. She is survived by her sister, Jan Holland, her children, Cathie Campbell and husband George, David Nicholas and wife Renee, James Nicholas, Cheryl Haun and husband Casey, Andrew Nicholas and wife Sarah, and grandchildren Nicholas Jackson, Cami Jackson and husband Matt Norman, Jessica Legget and husband Paul, Carlee Knighton and husband Eric, Kaleb Jackson, Austin Nicholas, Sarah Hutchins, Sam Cangemi, Jett, Granger, Vivie and Wells Haun and Colton Nicholas, and great-grandchildren, Jackson, Jefferson, Johnson, and Jemmason Norman, Rian Hutchens, Kaleb and Kaden Rasco, and Jack and Quinn Legget. She was born on November 11, 1942, in Stockton, CA to Charles Brown and Virginia Simpson Brown. Lynda grew up in Dallas, TX and met Kenneth Ray Nicholas at Hillcrest High School. They married and started a family. In addition to her role as wife and mother, she was passionate about growing things and enjoyed farming and ranching, tending an orchard and raising organic grass-fed breeding stock. She faithfully led Ladies’ Prayer groups at her church for more than 30 years and began a healing prayer group for the community. She loved Jesus with her whole heart and loved the people around her with all that she had. Visitation Monday, August 19 from 6-8 PM at Restland and funeral Tuesday, August 20 at 10 AM at Sojourn Church, Carrollton.
