It is so hard to believe that you have left us, but I know that you have gone on to a much better place. I will miss your wit and your candor, but most of all I will miss your presence. You had a heart of gold and would go to any length to help others. Your time here on Earth was well spent and you have left a great void in my heart. Please know that I love you dearly and will miss you immensely.
My classmate at Beckman Jr. High and Roosevelt High Schools. We both celebrated our 60th birthdays (in Dallas and Houston). I will miss her teasing me about AKA and me to her about DST. Her quick and sharp wit will always be missed by all. Rest in sleep our friend.
Sorry to hear this, she was a very outgoing person and woman. I met her at Roosevelt High in my freshman year 1969. R. I. P.
Missing out early morning talks as you drove to work. A true friend.
I met Lynette many years ago as a high school student attending First Baptist church. We went on to both attend Indiana State university for undergrad and grad school. Through the years we kept our friendship.
In the year 2016 I became very I’ll. Lynette came up for a week and sat with me for a week while I mainly slept in the hospital. She has been up to visit about 4 or times since then. She just came up in October for my family’s reunion.
. She was a true.
Just a few weeks ago I received a box with a throw and necklace both decorated with elephants from her. Two of the many items I have received from her over the years.
Talking with her while she drove to work will be greatly missed.

I worked with Ms. Oliver at Webb Middle School over the past couple of years where she subbed often. I grew to love her and enjoyed her company. Our conversations and her quick wit made her the highlight of many of my days-she will truly be missed.
Your sense of humor and your honesty will be missed.
I met Lynette when we were both teaching at Franklin Elem. Sch. in Gary, IN. Lynette was working with children who had special educational needs. I was teaching art to the general school population includIng Lynette’s smaller group of students. Her classroom was right down the hall from mine. After the students were dismissed we shared the highs and lows of our day. Sometimes there were tears, but more often tears of laughter! Lynette and her mom, Pauline, welcomed me into their home, sharing meals, friendship, and a comforting place to feel the warmth of family when I missed my own family back in Minnesota. She will be truly missed!
