I loved, and will always love, Madge and Woody Reeves. They were truly my second parents. The Reeves family provided love, care, joy, and shelter to me while I temporarily lived in their home exactly 28 years ago. Mere words could never express the enormity of my gratitude to them and all three daughters. Madge and Woody Reeves were the most unselfish, generous, and loving parents, I have ever known. They ACTED with love instead of just talking about it. The Reeves family literally lived "Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself".
Cindy, Tracy and Alison, "Baa" was such a sweet and loving aunt to all of the Kingrea family and a beautiful person both inside and out. We will miss her kind and beautiful spirit and her way of making everyone feel special. Please know that God is with her and each of you. Love, Jim and Jan
I met Madge and Woody Reeves during the 1970's. I lived in Terrell and my best friend was Cecile Kingrea. I spent so much time with Cecile and Mary Kingrea that Mary really was like a second mother to me. I now live in Prosper, TX and Tracy Reeves and I are friends and my son and Tracy's son are also friends. During the 1970's I spent many years/hours visiting the Reeves. What a uniquely loving Mom and Dad. They took such good care of their own children. They would open their home up to the entire neighborhood of kids and the kids would come from all around to socialize and eat. I have never since then seen such generosity. Everyone wanted to be at the Reeves house because they had fun and felt comfortable there and that was mostly because of Madge "Baa" Reeves. I just remember that Madge treated everyone with the same love and kindness. She really made an impact on my life. She will be missed!!!
I had the good fortune to meet the Reeves clan when they moved to Garland in '61 or '62. Our neighborhood was not unlike "The Wonder Years", and Madge and Woody were key players, front and center. They touched the lives of many kids, me included. Rest in peace, sweet Mrs. Reeves.
