Mae Reva Allen Evans' Obituary
Mae Reva Allen Evans was born on September 9, 1940 in Navasota Tx. to her loving parents Eugene and Susie Lee Allen. Mae grew up in Marlin, Tx along with her three sister and one brother.
She attended and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1960. She sat on the BTW High School Reunion Committee for many years.
After graduating from high school, Mae got married and raised five children, Damita Young, Elecha Golden, Ivan Dwayne Allen, Jackie R. Jordan, and Timothy Jordan.
In her early twenties she attended Interior Design school to become an Interior Decorator. She enjoyed sewing, designing, and making her own decorative curtains, pillows, and furniture for her home. She made and sold beautiful floral arrangements.
Mae was multi-talented. Very out spoken, strong willed lady. She was an excellent cook and made it look easy. She was a fashionista with a great sense of style. Almost every year she attended the Ebony Fashion Show while living in Austin, Tx. She liked the finer things in life. She was also a self-proclaimed domino and spade queen.
Most of all, Mae enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Later in life she relocated to Garland, Tx to be closer to her daughter Elecha, her two sisters Mamie Bradley and Georgene Hall along with several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mae Evans loved her family and she was greatly loved by her family. She will truly be missed.
