I was saddened to hear of Mrs. Laprade’s passing, I had the pleasure of being her student in 1998 at NDHS, at the time my father was a teacher and coach at the same school. Teachers have a thankless role, and she truly was one of a kind and cared so much to teach and was great at her job, I can only imagine what kind of friend and family member she is. I honestly have memories of her til this day and am happy to say I was a student and wish there were more like her. Mrs LaPrade you are missed and shared your light with so many. Rest easy and may we all see you again.

I met Margaret, because I am best friends with her caregiver Rosemary. Margaret already had some type of brain degeneration. But she had the most beautiful smile and was very sweet. It was a delight to know her. My condolences to Doug who was such a devoted son.

Margaret and I both taught English IV at NDHS. One year, we were supposed to have weekly team meetings with other teachers of the same subject. Well, that was Margaret and me. We were all so busy!! I'd pass Margaret in the hall, and I'd shout out, "I'm starting "Macbeth" on Monday; she would quickly respond. Team meeting - done. She was a gracious, beautiful person. I think of her often.

I will remember Margaret Ann for her intelligence, smile, wit and as John's soul mate. They were two excellent teachers. The brunches at their home were fun and the tortilla española delicious. I always admired their devotion to their students. I am truly sorry for your loss.

Mrs. LaPrade was my high school AP English teacher at NDH. She was sweet, funny and quick witted. Her students enjoyed her greatly, I know I did. My deepest condolences go out to the family and friends.
