Maria Sofianou Lakis' Obituary
Maria Sofianou Lakis, 89, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on December 1st, 2024. Born to Vangelis Sofianou and Georgia Sofianou (Kotsonis) on September 13th, 1935.
A child refugee during the Second World War, she completed nursing school in Greece and then emigrated from Greece to Toronto, Canada, and later to Dallas, Texas.
In her life she loved two things above all else, her family and her 40-year career as a Registered Nurse.
Maria is preceeded in death by her husband, Kirk K. Lakis.
She is survived by her son, Gus; daughter, Diana, and their families.
