I worked with Maria for over 20 years. I was a probation officer and she treated my clients. I learned a great deal from Maria that benefited my career, my clients, my department, and the courts. She always had a smile and a kind word. She was tough when she had to be but very compassionate. My deepest condolences to her family and many friends.
Maria was a colleague and a friend for over thirty years. She was a respected professional who helped countless people through her work as a therapist. I had the opportunity to serve on the CSOT Board with Maria, to present at conferences with her and to collaborate in treatment with her. I learned a lot from Maria and always appreciated not only her professional assistance but her genuine care for her family and friends.
Maria cared for others when hardly anyone else would. She was a kind person with a loving heart, and I will miss her terribly.
