I dearly loved my Aunt Marie. She was more than an aunt (a second mother) to me in my childhood. I will miss her but I will continue to treasure all those wonderful memories of a very special woman. I pray for her family that all can find comfort from God and keep their treasured memories of her alive in their hearts!
Its a shame the service was held before anyone was notified. I really wanted to be there as we had a very close relationship through many years and with the PEO and Assistance League of Dallas. She was a terrific bridge player, and tennis player. We used to watch the tennis matches and the golf together frequently. One of my favorite stories about Marie, I recently confirmed with her. Marie’s parents had told her she could not marry until she completed college. Marie completed in three years so she could wed. Marie was the first woman to receive her degree from UT and graduated with honors. What a lady she was and much fun. I will miss her greatly.
Marie was such a dear friend and she will be missed very much. We loved her and all the ways she brought happiness to those around her, especially to us. The last time we saw her was at her Christmas Party last December. She looked so pretty and was in such good spirits, and we all had such a good time that evening. It is a wonderful way to remember her, among all the other sweet memories we have of her.
