Marie T. Ryan's Obituary
RYAN, MARIE TURBYFILL Marie passed away on September 9, 2010 at her home in McKinney, TX surrounded by her family. She was born on September 13, 1928 in Randolph, Texas to Sidney and Norah (Parks) Turbyfill. After graduating from high school, Marie moved to Dallas with her husband, Harold Stevens where she worked in the packaging industry with St Regis Paper Co. for over 45 years. Marie married Olan “Cliff” Clifton in 1959. After his death, she married C.C. Ryan and resided in Dallas until 2003 when they moved to McKinney. Marie was a dedicated and active volunteer at Medical Center of McKinney. Marie is survived by two sons, Dick (Lori) Stevens, Michael (Kara) Stevens; eight step-children: Joe Clifton, Patricia Jacks, Janet Hickman, Jim Ryan, Laurie Williams, Tom Ryan, Judy Ryan, and Gail Ryan; five grandchildren, Bart Stevens, Michelle Stevens White (Mason), Robert Stevens, Hunter Stevens and Heather Miller and numerous step-grandchildren; two brothers and a sister: Charles (Virginia) Turbyfill, Robert (Jimmie) Turbyfill, Christine Wilson. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence C. Ryan. Marie was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. She had so many lifelong friends and was a very vibrant and active lady. She was a woman of amazing faith and strength and loved to cook and was an avid Texas Rangers Baseball fan. She simply adored her family. Her family thanks her many friends for their love and support and Hospice Compassus. Memorials may be given in Marie’s memory to the First Christian Church, McKinney, TX or MCM Auxiliary c/o Medical Center of McKinney.
