Mario Del Puerto's Obituary
Mario Del Puerto was born July 1, 1953, in Laredo, Texas, and passed away August 14, 2020, in Dallas, Texas. He is preceded in death by his Mother, Maria Del Puerto and father, Agustin Del Puerto. He is survived by his wife, who was the love of his life, Judy Adams Del Puerto. They would have celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary in September. Also, his beloved son David Raul Del Puerto, and precious grandson Jackson David Del Puerto, sisters Rosie Calderon and Martha Del Puerto and step-father, Marcelino Lopez, and numerous other extended family members.
Mario was a retired General Contractor in Dallas, Texas. He was a member of All Saints Catholic Church and was a member and past president of the Men’s Club. He also served as a volunteer park manager for Prestonwood 1A Homeowners Association.
He was a devout Christian, always had a positive attitude and good spirit, and was known for all of his service to his church and anyone else in need. He enjoyed golf, hunting, and traveling with his wife, and was known for his skill on the barbeque grill. His favorite pastime was cooking for large crowds of family and friends.
He was a devoted husband. Judy and Mario were inseparable from the moment they met and their love was one for the storybooks. Mario adored his son and was so very proud of his David. They shared so many happy times together. He was also a doting grandfather to Jackson, who adored his POPPY.
Due to the restrictions from COVID 19, no official service will be held at this time. When things return to normal, a celebration of life party will be planned. Mario always said that he didn’t want tears for his passing, but joy and celebration of his life.
